Associate of Applied Science in
Digital Graphic Design

Two academic years (8 quarters)

In this online program students will focus on graphic design theory and techniques which can support a professional career as a graphic designer or graphic artist. Students will learn the basics of art, color theory, format, design, digital publishing and how these are used in the corporate and business world. This program can help develop creative talents to produce effective print and multimedia designs in a practical career. Program features include a curriculum taught by industry professionals that utilizes classroom lectures, group forums, and hand-on desktop exercises. Students will practice within industry-specific graphic design software. Students successfully completing the program will have developed a portfolio which may be presented to prospective employers.

Entrance Requirements

Trumbull Business College admits only those persons who can provide official, third-party evidence that they are a high school graduate or that they have obtained a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or that they have been successfully home schooled. In addition, a visit to the campus, and a personal interview with an Admissions Representative is mandatory. For students enrolled in online courses no visit to the campus is required. An admissions representative will interview the candidate by telephone to determine if the student’s level of computer literacy is sufficient to begin an online program and an online orientation will be provided prior to the stat of the first class. A registration fee of $75 is required with all enrollment applications whether enrolling on campus or on line.

Equipment Requirements

This program is delivered online using the Comcourse Learning Management System (LMS), a proprietary version of the MOODLE LMS used in over 100 countries. The student must have a computer with a minimum of Internet Explorer 6 or equivalent browser and reliable access to the Internet to participate in online learning.

Once a student is enrolled, and before the academic program begins, a student may purchase a laptop as part of their program. The laptop computer will have all necessary hardware and software needed to access and participate in our online classroom. The most current version of required software is installed at the time of delivery.

Trumbull Business College does not assess any special fees for enrolling in an online program.
